How To Bet

The minimum bet at Wyoming Downs is $2.00. You must be 18 years of age to place a wager and there is no limit on the amount you wager. The track has no interest in the outcome of each race: fans wager against each other. The track simply holds all wagers while the race is being run. Eighty percent of all money is returned to the bettors. The rest of the money is distributed between the Horsemen, the state of Wyoming and Wyoming Downs, regardless of which horse wins.

Wagering at Wyoming Downs is easy and convenient. Mutuel windows are located throughout the facility and open 30 minutes before post time for the first race. You may place wagers for any race throughout the day as early as you like. Wagering for each race closes when the starting gate opens.

Making a bet is as Easy as 1 - 2 - 3

Walk up to any mutuel window and tell the clerk the following information:
  1. The amount you wish to bet - any dollar amount $2.00 or more;
  2. Type of bet you wish to make - win, place, exacta, etc...
  3. The program number of the horse or horses.

Do not leave the mutuel window until you are sure you have the correct tickets and change. No adjustment, including cancels, will be made after a patron has left the window.
