Official Rules - January Handicapping Contest
January Handicapping Contest A) The January 26th, 2008, handicapping contest is the first in a series of monthly handicapping contests for 2008 at the The January 26th Handicapping Contest will cover the following tracks and races and is free to enter: Santa Anita (Races 4, 5 ,6 & 7) Sunshine Millions; Sunshine Millions F/M Turf; Sunshine Millions F/M Sprint; Sunshine Millions Dash Sunshine Millions Turf; Sunshine Millions Distaff; Sunshine Millions Sprint; Sunshine Millions Oaks Race 2; Race 4; Race 6; Race 8 B) The winner will be determined by the person with the highest ending bankroll at the end of the assigned races based on $20 “mythical” win and place wagers. No purchase is necessary to enter and no entry fee is required. All patrons will be limited to one (1) entry in the contest. Must be 18 years or older to enter. C) Patrons visiting and registering for the contest may do so up to the last scheduled handicapping race. All patrons must submit at least one (1) mythical wager. Patrons do not need to submit all “mythical wagers” in order to win. Handicapping packets will be available to patrons beginning Thursday, January 24th. Official race programs will be the responsibility of the patron. Racing programs will be available for sale at the off-track location. D) All patrons registering for the contest will receive a packet containing the 12 race cards for the designated races posted above. Patrons are to mark the cards with a horse to win and place and or a horse to win and a horse to place. All cards are to be returned back to the handicapping table before the post time of that scheduled race, in order to be properly credited. Any late scratches after the card has been turned in will result in receiving the post time favorite for that race as determined by management and or Equibase results. E) If any of the races should be declared a “no race” and or be cancelled, Wyoming Off-Track Management reserves the right to substitute another race and or track in its place. All decisions by Wyoming Off-Track Management and Wyoming Entertainment will be final. F) In case of a tie, the tie breaker will be determined by the most number of wins over the course of the handicapping contest, if a tie still exists, the most number of places will be determined. If a tie still occurs after the two tie-breakers, the patrons will split the prize pool in equal amounts.
