WYOMING DOWNS .10 CENT SUPERFECTA PAYS OUT BIGWyoming Downs, was the place to be on Sunday, July 29th, as lucky bettors raked in the green. Twenty three fortunate patrons split the first Pick 6 pool of the 2007 race meet and one person took home $636.50 on a ten-cent bet.
After no one hit the Pick 6 on Saturday’s six races, bettors added $588 to the pool, which featured a carryover of $1711.00 into Sunday’s action. The Pick 6 wager features a 100% carryover to the next racing day if no one hits all six selections, the wager is carded for races four thru nine on the racing program each day of the race meet. The Pick 6 came down to pretty easy pickings for bettors as they watched the favorites in four out of the six races find their way to the winners circle. Coronas Inmate, the second choice on the tote board in the fourth, and Sadie’s In the tenth and final race of the day, it was Diamonds Tiny Effort at odds of 8-1, turning in a huge effort going gate to wire to win the $29,700 Gary Waite Memorial for three year olds and up. One winning ticket on the 4-8-7-5 combination in the .10 superfecta wager returned a lucky bettor $636.50. Live racing continues at Wyoming Downs on Saturdays and Sundays thru August 19th, with six days left in the 2007 season, fabulous stakes races remain including the AQHA Fort Dodge Claiming Challenge and the AQHA Red Cell Distance Challenge.
