“ROAD TO THE DERBY” CONTEST

Welcome to Wyoming OTB’S “Road to the Derby” Contest!

 

Rules and Conditions

 

First:  Choose a stable of twenty (20) horses from the list of early Triple Crown nominees available at each OTB site. 

 

Second:  Follow the directions and return your contest entry form to any WOTB location by 12:00 PM on Sunday February 24, 2008.

E-Mail entries can be emailed to: jodi.l@wyent.net on or before 12:00 PM Feb 24th, one entry per email.   If you do not receive a Reply email from us please call: 307-789-0521 to insure that we did receive your entry.

Write-in horses will be accepted based upon legibility (If we can’t read it, you don’t get the horse).  No stable changes will be made after the running of the first contest race on Sunday, Feb 24th, 2008, other than corrections to typographical errors during data entry.  There is no entry fee for the contest. 

 

Third:  One entry per person ages 18 and older.  If necessary, a tie-breaker race will be selected by OTB management. 

 

Fourth:  All prize winners must show identification to collect prize money. 

Wyoming Off Track Betting employees and family members are not eligible to participate; employees will have their own contest.

 

* All races are scored according to the grading or non-grading of the selected races.  Races are selected according to date, grade and distance of the race.  Wyoming OTB Management decisions over all disputes are final!  Wyoming OTB is not responsible for conditions of track or cancellation of the selected race due to weather conditions.  Nor are we responsible for scratches or injured entries.  It is up to the entrant to determine if a horse will be out of the running for the Kentucky Derby due to ineligibility or injury. Your entry cannot be changed after Feb 24th, 2008 at 12:00 PM.

* Please be sure that the horse name and number on your entry match!  If they do not match we will use the written horse name as a default, no notification will be given for this! 

 

 

 

 

 

CONTEST RACES AND SCORING

 

 

Points are accumulated on the “Road to the Derby” based on your stable’s finish in each Kentucky Derby prep race.  Three extra points will be awarded to each horse that makes it to the “Derby Gate”.  Points will be awarded on the following basis:
